I've heard names floated like Sam Raimi, Gillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cueron. I think all would be terrific choices and with Peter Jackson writing and producing, I'm confident the'll have the same feel as the oringinal trilogy. I'm particularly intrigued by the sequel talk. From what I heard, it will be an original story to bridge the "The Hobbit" with the "Lord of the Rings". I was really glad to hear this and cannot wait.
