Thunder-Bulls Pregame Notes

* Desmond Mason said before the game that he likely will not play for the second straight game due to a sore back. He said he wanted to give it a go, but the training staff didn’t want to risk ruining two days of therapy if he suffers a setback tonight. Mason said he expects to return to the lineup Monday against New Jersey.

* Earl Watson will get the start at point guard tonight. Russell Westbrook will move to shooting guard. Kevin Durant will play small forward, Jeff Green will play power forward and Nick Collison will play center. Coach Scott Brooks said this is a one-game only lineup that he’s using to match up with the Bulls’ small ball lineup.

* The Bulls are going with a starting lineup of Derrick Rose, Ben Gordon, Larry Hughes, Tyrus Thomas and Drew Gooden.
