Thunder To Host Fan Party

The Thunder is hosting a watch party Saturday night at Emerson Biggin’s on 1732 S. Meridian Ave in Oklahoma City. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. Tip-off for Saturday’s Thunder-Mavs game is 7:30.

All Thunder fans are invited to the party, the team’s first of the season. There will be drink specials, door prizes and a chance to win a trip to Phoenix to see the Thunder take on the Suns.  The Thunder Girls will also be in attendance, signing autographs and cheering on the team with fans along with the drum team.

Any fan who brings another team’s hat will receive a free Thunder replacement.

So all the frontrunning fans of the traditional winning teams can purge themselves of being weak fans and get the proper headware.

Given how terrible this team is and how much they’re wasting taxpayers’ and ticket buyers’ money, you’d think a couple of players would be forced to attend. Maybe a benchwarmer or two, or even NBDL players from Tulsa? If the product the owners are putting on the floor were a Christmas gift, I’d return it, and as long as this team remains as bad as it is now, they need to do something to make this more of an entertaining experience… so far, the only entertainment is the anticipation of seeing a good team and some real all-stars come into town; unfortunately, even then, we’ll never see an A-effort from someone like Lebron until the Thunder stops smelling up the Ford Center.

Maybe the Daily Oklahoman doesn’t want to hear it, but here’s my resubmission of my previous post:
