We can all be smart and fight gas prices by saving and using Union Station for mass transit. Or we can be stupid and destroy it for a bigger highway and bricktown expansion.

Hello Everyone,
I know most people are upset about gas prices, but I want to share something on a brighter note. I was married to Lt. J.C. Burris and today would have been our 25th Anniversary. He lost his battle with colorectal cancer November 24, 2006. J.C. dedicated his life to saving Oklahomans through seatbelt safety programs like “Click it or Ticket”, and “child passenger seat safety”. I’m sure some of you may have seen his “Click it or Ticket” commercials or even his spotlight on Channel 9 during his illness. Or maybe, you heard one of his radio program “Eye’s Have It” with June Elkins on KVSP and if you’re an OU fan, I’m have listened to the “OU Hitch hike” with Jim Traybour on the Sports Animal. And if you were one of the unfortunate ones, he stopped you. If he stopped you for speeding and you weren’t wearing your seatbelt, he probably gave you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt and scolded you for speeding. At any rate, I’m sure, whether you know it or not, he’s touched your life, maybe even saved it. What ever the case may be I wanted to share some excitement with you. I loved this man with my whole heart and I share his passion for safety. Now my dream is to keep his ideals and passions to bless others and save lives. My mission is to keep everything he stood for alive. He used to say to me and the kids; “you need to stand up for something or you will fall for anything, it’s your choice and everybody has a choice”. I choose to stand up for him. Today would have been our 25th Anniversary. So today in his memory our family will be giving a $100.00 tip to some lucky waiter or waitress this afternoon. All they need is a pleasant personality and willingly admit they buckle up. I did this last year and blessed someone and in return, his story blessed me. Good Luck out there and remember to “CLICK IT OR TICKET”
