So let me introduce to you….
Permit me to introduce myself. I’m John Williams, the new Edmond Outreach Reporter for the Oklahoman. This means that you and I are going to be getting to know each other better as days go by.
I’m not new to Edmond, but new to the Oklahoman. I grew up in Pauls Valley, about 65 miles south of Edmond. My wife Jane and I have lived in Edmond since the 80s. She is an elementary school teacher and our two children attended and graduated from Edmond schools.
I’ve worked in several fields over the years including radio, TV, ministry, author and journalist. I am also a graduate of Edmond’s University of Central Oklahoma.
Along with my newspaper column every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, this blog will be our “water cooler”. (more…)
