@Tiffanyg89: is wishing @Twitter would allow her to see all of her tweets since joining the social network in November 2008.

(Yep, we actually used Twitter like Facebook in the beginning. Oh how things have changed.)

@Twitter: We’re rolling it out right now.

Mashable reports that Twitter, which launched in 2006, is now allowing users to download every tweet they’ve ever created. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has made promises that we would see this by the end of 2012. Looks like he really meant the end. There’s only two weeks to go until the new year.

“By the end of the year I’ve already promised this, so the engineers – when I promised it publicly they’re already mad at me so they can keep being mad at me. Now, again, once again, I caveat this with the engineers who are actually doing the work don’t necessarily agree that they’ll be done by the end of the year, but we’ll just keep having that argument and we’ll see where we end up year-end.” – Costolo

You should be able to download your tweets by going to your Settings and clicking on the Request your archive option. Mashable reports this is a gradual process, so you might not have the option yet. I don’t either, but I’ll be checking back to try it out once it’s available.

And for fun, here’s a list of 30 tweets that are so 2006 via Buzzfeed. (Yes, people were tweeting, checking Myspace and watching “Flavor of Love.” Scary, I know.)

Happy tweeting!
