Man people get pretty crazy about ice. And people who are crazy about ice are particular about where they get their ice. Amy Grant apparently bought Vince Gill an ice machine that makes ice just like Sonic’s so he’d have the ice even if couldn’t have Sonic. Do you have an ice habit? Who make the best?

You’ll have to fork over $55 to $65 (plus applicable fees) for your bill of admittance, but it will be a good show. Great music under the hot August Oklahoma sun. There isn’t anything much better than that. For more information go to www.oklahoma.redhawks.milb.com. And if you can’t see the concert for the fees, there is no law against hanging out in Bricktown during an event at a venu with no roof to contain sound.

We got to meet the Rockettes and have a little class on kicking and shimmying. I’d thought the Rockettes were the coolest thing since I watched      “Annie” as a very little girl. So you could imagine my shock and disappointment when the Rockette giving the presentation said that all Rockettes had to be between 5 feet 8 inches and some other height that I was never going to be. It had been a stretch to get the DMV to put 5 feet 2 inches on my learner’s permit.
What I’m trying to say is that I understand all those men who might have been shocked and disappointed when we asked for interested parties to submit their photos to our LOOKatOKC model search.
Well I’m not going to be the second string Rockette to dash your dreams of high-kicking before a feature presentation. LOOKatOKC is an equal opportunity free model seeker. Which is weird because he built it. It’s not like it was old and people had died there.
It was a long ranch style house, fitting because it was in the middle of nowhere on a cattle ranch. We had our own wing of the house practically. One room was the official kids’ room and the other was just a guest room. That is where I got to stay with two other older girl cousins, because I whined that I was not a kid, even though technically I was only 3 from the bottom in age.
Mostly the rooms stored our mother’s wedding dresses, heirlooms that had traveled from Germany with my grandfather’s great aunts and other things that are creepy in the dark when you are 8.
The rooms just had a creepy feeling and no one ever knew why. They just were. Then one night after giving into bedtime, my cousins and I were lying in bed, when we heard a crash in the bathroom. Everyone was too scared to move.
Finally, being the youngest it was determined that I would go see what had happened. A cosmetics bag that I distinctly remember putting on the vanity cabinet against the wall was lying in the middle of the floor – and not just rolled-off-the-counter lying on the floor, but a-ways-from-the-counter lying on the floor. Which confirmed all of our suspicious: My grandfather’s house was in fact haunted.
That’s my ghost story. What is yours?
