September 2007

We have a new look for LOOKatOKC.

You saw it a couple weeks ago, and now we’re back with a full edition of columns, articles, opinions and facts about everything entertainment in the Oklahoma City area.

The nuts and bolts are still the same. We aim to bring you the most complete listing of calendar events that we can put together in a readable fashion, while showcasing some brightest smiles on the brightest people that fill up our days and nights on the Oklahoma City entertainment scene.

Our events will still be entered into the central database of events on the LOOKatOKC web site - lookatokc.com - and our photographers will still be seen out and about taking your pictures while you help make OKC a fun place to be.

But now when you pick up LOOKatOKC, we hope you will be more engaged by more content about more topics from the front of the magazine to the back.

We have the entertainment scoop from Gene Triplett and George Lang on Page 8. We have movie reviews on Page 13. We have a handy four-page pullout section on the top events in OKC on pages 35-38. We have a slice of the sports culture with Blake Jackson’s column on Page 60.

Basically, we just have more than we did before. And it looks pretty, too. Tell us what you think on the LOOKatOKC blog on our Web site.

September marks the fiftieth birthday of Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road.” In homage to Kerouac’s stream of consciousness rant about spontaneous road adventures we wanted to hear yours. Every road trip has a good story, even if it doesn’t end up defining a generation or amass a cult following. What’s yours?
