The Latino Review claims to have inside knowledge on what DC comic storyline the “Justice League” movie will be based on, and if they’re right, then I’m kind of worried DC and Warner Bros. are going too big too fast.

The rumor is the movie will cover the story told in “Justice League Of America” #183-185, where Darkseid attempts to destroy Earth to make way for his own planet. It’s a very popular story involving one of DC’s best villains, but it’s also extremely grand for a first “Justice League” movie.

Darkseid is kind of at the top of the food chain when it comes to DC villains, which is why I think the studios are going too big too fast. What could possibly top Darkseid? Not much, in way of individual villains.

Also, the storyline has the Justice League teaming up with the Justice Society… So will we see two teams in one movie? That could be awesome, but, again, too big too fast.

I trust Latino Review, but I’m curious what changes have been made from the source material, in order for it to fit well into a theatrical world. We still don’t even know who will be on the JL team, except Batman and Superman. Possibly Green Lantern. Maybe Wonder Woman.

It kind of comes off as a bit pretentious, honestly. Like it’s trying to be an arthouse film that doesn’t know its audience. I do like the trailer, though, especially the interactions between Clark and his adoptive parents, because it looks like the movie will emphasize the human side of Superman, which is a robust theme in and of itself, but one that can be explored many different ways. But the thin hint at action has me worried a bit, because it is a comic book/super hero movie, after all. Maybe Warner Bros. is trying to rein in director Zack Snyder a bit, considering he has the tendency to go too big too fast.

I’m still excited for this movie, though. Very excited. Especially if it’s the movie to set the tone for 2015′s “Justice League.”

“The Walking Dead” is the hottest thing going right now, fresh off its midseason finale where fans were left in cliffhanger city as Daryl and Merle Dixon were reunited and, probably, having their last breaths together as brothers. Heck, it’s been one of the most-talked about shows ever, so it’s no surprise people are wanting to cash in on the mayhem.

Now, I’m not exactly using the term “cash in” in a negative way. If someone is creative enough to give fans something fresh, unique and cool, then put it out there and let the market dictate what’s what! Most things are “meh,” some are “cool” and some, but a rare bunch, are “awesome.” This shirt design mashing up “The Walking Dead” and “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” falls into the last category, and can be purchased here for about $26.

Above is your first official look at Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans) and Legolas (Orlando Bloom) in “The Hobbit” sequel, “There and Back Again.” Bard looks pretty awesome and, somehow, someway, Bloom looks younger than he did in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. Makeup and movie magic at its finest.

Bard will play a bigger role in the sequels, since he’s the (spoiler!) man to bring down the evil dragon, Smaug.

Holy smokes, this looks awesome.

I’m not the biggest Star Trek fan, but the 2009 J.J. Abrams movie blew me away and I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s beautiful to watch, beautiful to listen to, it has a great cast and told a fun story. Its sequel, “Into Darkness,” looks to be a chip off the old block. Read the official synopsis below:

This is just too cool. Check out the “Jurassic Park” movie in web comic form. It’s done really well and is a good bit of fun, but it isn’t completed yet.

Latino Review has an exclusive piece worth checking out: They say they know what villain the Justice League will face off against in their 2015 movie. And that villain is Darkseid, which is no doubt DC’s and Warner Bros.’ answer to Marvel using Thanos in “Avengers 2.”

In this corner we got Earth’s Mightiest Heroes going up against Thanos the Mad Titan. How will Warners respond? Just WHO will the Justice League face off against?

Not a Titan, but a GOD!

After some persistent snooping, we have exclusively learned that the main baddie is none other than… DARKSEID!

I’m hesitant to call this a good idea, if it is true. Darkseid is kind of the ultimate bad guy in the DC Universe, and having him the first villain the Justice League put down could only cause a downhill progression of villains in any subsequent films. Thanos isn’t the worst thing that could happen to the Avengers, and even then, Marvel is building up to his showdown with the team. DC and WB are just diving right in.

It’s admirable but it also makes me wonder if WB is desperate for a badass villain, and if they’re scared “Avengers 2″ will steal their thunder. Maybe the “Justice League” script isn’t what they’d hope it would be? Maybe they realize a lot of DC villains just aren’t worthy of the League’s attention? But surely they’re smart enough to know they need to build up to the character rather than just BOOM, here he is.

Still, at this point it’s a rumor. But I trust Latino Review and their inside sources, so consider it fact right now.
