Marvel fans rejoice: Crossbones a villain in second ‘Captain America’ movie
Ah heck yeah. Variety is reporting Frank Grillo will play Crossbones in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” He’s a pretty significant villain in Cap’s rogue’s gallery, but I think he’ll role in the movie will be more henchman than mastermind, seeing as how the movie is about the Winter Soldier. I kind of expect Crossbones to fulfill some plans in regards to the Winter Soldier program, in which we see Bucky in fact survived the plane crash in the first Cap movie, but has been brain washed by the Russians to become an assassin.
Grillo is an interesting choice, but his work in “The Grey” and various roles in TV dramas like “The Shield” make me hopeful. Grillo isn’t a big guy, and Crossbones is. But maybe he’s working on that, or Marvel has different plans for the character’s on-film representation.

Kind of cool that Crossbones is going to be in a movie. I like him as a more physical Cap villain.
