‘Prometheus’ is taking over my weekend

The latest trailer for Ridley Scott‘s upcoming sci-fi flick “Prometheus” dropped Saturday. And I gotta say: It’s a fine, fine trailer.
It’s rare when a trailer truly whets the appetite and has the ability to appeal to fans of all kinds of genres. Sure, the movie is a science fiction film, but the trailer had shots of suspense, drama and some seriously cool looking action.
Check it out:
The film’s official synopsis:
Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Scott, best known for “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” is a darling of a filmmaker to sci-fi fans. The guy just knows how to take an interesting concept, explore it and make it just different enough that it’s memorable and unique in and of its own. Good thing “Prometheus” looks to be no different.
