Possible ‘Iron Man 3′ plot information revealed

The group over at Latino Review claim to have the “in” on the plot details for “Iron Man 3.” After reading them, I can’t say I’m too thrilled with the idea though fully expected it.

Here’s what LR has to say:

- Nanobots, people!

- Nanobots that make villains

- Nanobots that can also make Tony Stark more than a man in a suit.

- Which is an idea planted in Tony Stark’s head by Captain America in THE AVENGERS because Avengers leads directly into Iron Man 3.

- Production on Iron Man 3 starts in May.

Check out The Invincible Iron Man Vol. 4 #1-6 or the Iron Man: Extremis motion comic on Netflix and/or the iTunes Store to go deeper down the rabbit hole into comic book geekdom.

The “Extremis” storyline was mega popular in the comic book series, but I’m not sure it’ll translate well onto the big screen. The idea i’s a little too fantastical, which is something the “Iron Man” movies haven’t been so far. Sure, we have to suspend our disbelief when watching, but not to the extent at which “Extremis” will require.

Iron Man is as rooted in realism as Batman is: Both genius rich boys are able to create a new side of themselves so they can fight evil. Only difference is Iron Man’s suit allows him to fly and shoot beams of energy. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne can somehow live on no sleep and survive beat downs by thugs and villains alike.

“Extremis” was a fun read and is perfect for the comic book medium. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in a movie, if the plot rumors are true.
