‘Game of Thrones’ season one Blu-ray on sale for $34.99 on Amazon, at Best Buy

No telling how long this will last, but Amazon and Best Buy have season one of “Game of Thrones” available for $34.99. That’s about 60 percent off the MSRP of $79.98. So, grab it while you can, cause this a pretty righteous price for a very righteous show.
It doesn’t come out until March 6, but this is the cheapest a preorder option has been.
So this is what a legit Navy SEAL thinks about movies portraying SEALs

The real-life Navy SEALs acting in "The Act of Valor"
Movies.com has a wonderful article featuring a retired Navy SEAL captain discussing a number of movies that depict SEALs and their tactics. It’s, no doubt, in conjunction with the upcoming film, “Act of Valor,” which features real SEALs using real tactics they use in the field.
The former captain is never named, but some of the insight he gives is pretty entertaining and interesting.
Cool. Cool, cool, cool: ‘Community’ returning March 15

Makes me want to go back to college.
This is the best news I’ve read all day: NBC’s “Community” is returning March 15.
After a short hiatus that left fans speculating if the show had finally been canned, the show’s creator, Dan Harmon, revealed today via his Twitter that the “Community” will be returning.
No word on if the show will be renewed for a new season, but at least us fans won’t be left hanging.

Boosting the queue: Netflix and Weinstein Co. agree to exclusivity deal

It was bound to happen: A major motion picture company has finally inked a deal with a streaming service for exclusive rights to their films.
The Weinstein Co. and Netflix came to an agreement recently on a multiyear deal, where Netflix gets licensing rights to movies released by Weinstein Co. These movies include Oscar hopeful “The Artist,” as well as, “W.E.” and “The Intouchables.”
‘Comic Book Men’ review: Scripted ‘reality’ TV at its worst

The guys that make up the "Pawn Stars"-meets-"Clerks" television show, "Comic Book Men."
Ugh. If “Comic Book Men” doesn’t pick up in the next couple episodes, I might have to drop it from my watch list. The series’ premiere left much to be desired, and the second episode’s retelling of Kevin Smith‘s “Clerks” was boring and, frankly, an unsurprising move.
‘The Walking Dead’ review: The best episode so far this season

Your Grime is up! Get it? Grime... Time... Well, I tried!
Now that was an episode.
Tonight’s “Walking Dead” hit every spot I could want from the survival-horror show. It had a balanced dose of drama and action, and had a little bit of every character, enough to update us on their frame of mind at this point in the show.
Bane makes debut in DC Comics’ New 52

Ouch.
EW has an exclusive look at the sixth issue in DC Comics’ “The Dark Knight” series, and it seems supervillain extraordinaire Bane will make a hard-hitting appearance. Check out the cover (which is a throwback to the famous image at the top of this post) for issue No. 6 after the jump.
About time! Something about this year’s Academy Awards finally makes sense

Hollywood's favorite couple.
I was perusing the Oscars’ site today, trying to find answers as to why “Drive” and “Shame” and Michael Fassbender were snubbed. I was about to give up hope when I saw the following headline:
Breaking News – Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog to Present at 84th Academy Awards
Finally! Something worth watching the Academy Awards for!

She would’ve shot Greedo first; or maybe just punched him to smithereens
A good friend sent me this link, and upon clicking on it, I was greeted by this picture:

You might not recognize her, but her dad gets the greatest love-hate response from his fans that this galaxy has ever seen.
That’s George Lucas‘ daughter, Amanda. She’s a mixed martial arts fighter and is set for some big showdown in Tokyo. The Sports Illustrated article is pretty lengthy, as it not only details (in great length) the sports side of all of this (duh, it’s SI), but also gets her feelings on the cross-promotion she has to put up with.
Nicolas Cage says the darndest things
A friend pointed me to this YouTube video of Nicolas Cage‘s best movie quotes. So, I’ll just leave this here for you guys. It does have some NSFW language, so now you know.
