Classic misconception that professional athletes and hihgly paid coaches owe fans their lives. They don’t. Sure I would not like if Grundy left but who is anyone to really say what anyone else should do. In general, get over yourself. On second thought, I wish Grundy would say something – just so you would have something worthwhile to write about.

Maybe Gundy doesn’t trust the press – he went off on Jenni once already – this is America he has the right to talk to anyone – surely there is something else to talk about instead of beating the proverbial horse.

Well I’m with Mike. I have worked for a boss like Holder it has to be frustrating to see the AD allow the Texas moffia in the B12 to schedule Texas early in the season when they are fresh and your rebuilding. To see team have to go to Texas two years in a row and to TTU 2 years in a row. Then to see some of the other things I have seen as an outsider. I am not sure what other things are happening, but our AD does not appear to be working in our best interests all the time or maybe he’s just powerless to oppose the moffia. So with a feeling that hes not helping you it beoomes easy to wounder if the struggle is worth the rents in you sole. No coach wants to put the players hes recruited into positions where they have less chance of winning. No coach likes to see his players beat up physically because the schedule is not the best you could have. I retired from my job which I loved because mentally and physically I just could not fight the lack of support any more.

You are right Jenni, this last week has been a roller coaster for us. Coach Gundy has won more games than any coach we have had, and we are very appreciative for what he has accomplished. We don’t understand why he would entertain other coaching jobs when he just signed a long term contract at OSU last year. Obviously, Gundy and Holder are butting heads over scheduling but there is probably more to it than that. Who really knows?
All the alums I know are glad he is staying at OSU for now and look forward to next year with a strong recruiting class coming in and most playmakers back for next season. We are looking forward to next season and hope this job search drama isn’t an annual event.
