No one is apologizing, not Dirk on Westbrook’s head, not Artest, not Perkins, no one has to be too civil in these things. It gets a little rough, but should it be getting so rough? Blake Griffin probably feels he deserves some apologies. Isn’t it basketball here and not hockey or rugby? Bring more finesse into the game and less Gladiator-mentality.

What Artest said in the post-game interview that is being passed off as an apology was not. The fact that the two teams might meet in the playoffs is all the more reason to clear the air. Harden should press criminal assault charges against Artest, since that’s exactly what it was – not rough play, not an accident, an intential hit.
