Wow. Maybe Jenni should think about putting some thought into this kind of thing. After all, it’s her job.

If I said something like that at my job, I probably wouldn’t have the job anymore this time next year. Come to think of it, that’s probably not a bad idea for Jenni at The Oklahoman.

It’s called being honest. Plus, I tend to live in the here and now. The here and now is football season getting ready to start. When the season gets closer to being over and the coaching carousel starts turning again, that’s when I start considering these things. Not now. Not when we’re on the cusp of practice getting started.

Jenni: The Big 12-2 has the 5th-best TV deal of the 6 AQ conferences. Only the Big East–which probably doesn’t deserve its AQ status–has a worse one.

Any school other than Texas that thinks that membership in the Big 12-2 is a great deal is fooling itself.
