“Mr. Q”, God gave you a spirit of serving, and you set a fine example. For Jesus said “Bless the little ones”…and you most certainly have. I pray you find YOUR dream in the NFL as much as you have passed joy on to these children.

It is written “He who is last shall be first”. You certainly have a Godly heart…may it serve YOU and the Lord well in your future.

I was impressed with Q’s hitting on the field the first time I saw him play. Since then, he has only gotten better.

During his senior season, we have watched him make All American and read multiple stories about his caring generosity off the field.

I prefer to think him not as “rare” but rather exceptional.

Notice the change in the atmosphere and attitude of these OU players since Stoops took over? We still have a mistake here and there made by a player but for the most part these young men are giving their best to contribute to the community, just like Carter. Now Carter is an exception, no doubt. You do not find many men who are like Q, on or off the field. Who knows what lasting impressions Quinton will leave with these children, but you can bet they will be good. This is how we can take back control of our cities and communities from the gangs and the hoodlums, by the efforts of role models like Q!

We need more stories like this on the good things athletes do. All you hear about is when someone gets arrested. There are many who do good things and we need to hear about that and the kids of today need to hear that too.

Thank you for this wonderful story about a young man that has a great heart! I’ve always known Mr. Carter was something special from watching him play for OU, but this story just confirms he is an up-standing human being, as well as a great ball player!
