Traditionally, we, as Cowboy fans, generally start the season with two or three losses as a given. We are not supposed to beat Nebraska, Texas, or Oklahoma. That has stigmatized the Cowboys for as long as I can remember. That's why when on the few occasions we have beaten one of those teams, even with stats like we've amassed this year, we consider it a GREAT event. It's our albatross, it's not supposed to happen. That's why I'll believe it when I see it.

i'm sure OSU would post all of the predictions of people picking the longhorns in previous years...clearly that didn't win us any games.

what we really DON'T NEED is another cowboy fan representing us poorly by making condescending and sexist remarks...

Jenni, Jenni, Jenni....As I said yesterday, Texas should hire you for their Bullentin Board Fodder provider. Are you out of your mind? This is TEXAS we're talking about here--they have enough talent to field two championship teams with some guys left over. Sure they're struggling right now, but if they put it together they can beat anyone! All you do with your criticism of their chances is get them riled. WE DON'T NEED THAT...they don't need any help. It is stories like this and the one you did yesterday that bolster the fact that you are in the wrong profession. You are a fairly good writer, but sports is not your game. Sorry you weren't born a guy who has played or coached the sport, but this kind of story and its timing are no help to us--there's simply no need for it, whether we win or not. Just think about it: If you were Mack Brown, would you not post both your stories on the board? And, if you were a Texas player, would such a thing not kick up your attitude a notch? Attitude, is, by the way, one of the major components of winning versus losing. And Texas does have enough talent to win. I'm not saying they will or that your stories would be the reason--but they sure don't help OSU any. I simply dion't understand what it is with why you are such a large cog at the DOK sports department. Don't get me wrong, I think you're probably a nice person and you possess journalistic skill--I just think it should be directed somewhwere other than sports because, no matter how hard you try, you just donj't get it because you haven't lived it. I admire the fact that you love sports--that is great; but you should leave the writing of it and your opinions about it to those who know a little more or think a little more about what they say and when they say it. It seems you have yet to learn this...perhaps that is the fault of your editor.

<em>Jim:
If Texas is using what I've writen to get fired up, the Longhorns have more problems than I thought.

On paper, this should be an easy game, no matter the QB. But, I've been let down too many times against the Longhorns, and I want a win over them desperately. Therefore, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not going to consider it a wrap until the final second ticks off the clock. I don't care how big of a lead we might build in the first half or even into the start of the 4th.

I have a lot of hope that this will be the year we beat UT, but count me as one of those fans who's still uneasy about this matchup. Just too many bad memories.

This is the first time I've ever been confident about beating Texas anywhere. As stated, if the Cowboys simply TCB, they should win. My main concern is another sloppy game with a ton of drive-killing penalties, like KSU and Troy. Bring the Baylor game and all will be well.

It's hard to see the Longhorns playing inspired ball right now with a synbolic figure in McCoy. Maybe for a series? RG III came to Stillwater with inspiration and the oSu defense shut him down. This game will be won with the Cowboy offense scoring at will. When the Horns get down, they'll stay down.
