Hey, Thunder fans: Crazy for Collison?
Nick Collison has never been an All-Star. Probably never will be either.
He’s not the fastest guy or the strongest guy and the most athletic guy on this Thunder team, but that hasn’t kept the veteran big man from becoming a fan favorite. Any time he checks into a game at the Ford Center, the ovation is loud and long.
So, are you a Thunder fan who’s crazy for Collison?
I’d love to hear from you. E-mail me at jcarlson@opubco.com, and tell me what it is about Collison that you love, appreciate and cheer. And be sure to include your full name and some contact information so I can get in touch with you if necessary.

Nick is, and always has been, a very consistent player. He was fantastic as a Jayhawk. Maybe he won’t ever be the greatest pro basketball player in the league, but he is of commendable moral character and remains a consistently good ballplayer.
Plus, as always, he’s “eye candy” to look at!
Nick is great. The play from the other night showed why everone loves Nick. Hustle hustle hustle. He made the block and falling out of bounds, saved it to Russell. All he does is work!
I love Nick’s work ethic and the manner in which he goes about his business. He’s a bit of throwback in that he gives us as fans pretty much everything in his gas tank on any given night. He just out works guys out there and when he comes into the game you can feel a change in the flow. Definitely a player I hope Sam Presti has in the plans for the next five years. A perfect veteran in that you see some of his traits rubbing off on the younger guys as everyone on the team has bought into playing defense, taking charges and rebounding as much as scoring. An intangible and character guy to the core—and character matters if you want to contend for championships.I wonder where he stacks up in the currents NBA stats for taking charges? One of my favorite players on the team.
