Talkin’ OU-Nebraska football
The Husker Sports Network’s “Sports Nightly” radio show invited me on for a few minutes Tuesday.
No surprise, host Lane Grindle wanted to talk about this Saturday’s Oklahoma-Nebraska game. We dissected everything from Landry Jones’ improvement to the Oklahoma defense’s strengths.
Check it out.

Jenny, too often you say “To me” or “I think”. You are qualifing your statement. Be more affirmative in you assertions.
If you notice the defensive stats on the web-page. Most those single digit
rating numbers have turned into double digit, and climbing. I would be
more concerned with that and not so much with the NU offense. OU can
tank on defense in just a few plays as they have proved time and time again,
and let a team right back in the game, the latest being KSU. Copish! Lets
not make OU’s defense into something it’s not. At the end of the season
or after the Alamo Bowl, hopefully, the stats will tell the tale. OU needs to try
and avoid the PAC-10 and SEC in bowls.

Jenni, the defense isn’t great, it’s good and trying to get better. If they were a
great defense, they would have taken over the games they lost by making
plays to win, but, they didn’t and they aren’t. The defense , and for the most
part, the offense, only play half-a-game, then the penalties and muff’s kick in.
They play like a good team, on the rebound, getting better every week, in the
first half, and in the second half it looks like Moe, Larry and Curly are calling
the plays with execution and penalties.
