Does Jenni Carlson know anything about football? And furthermore, when was the last time she wrote a POSITIVE article about OSU? Honestly, when I just hear her name I cringe. I wish she would stop writing about football. Because she obviously has no idea what she is saying. When we have the leading rusher in the Big 12 from last year, why wouldn’t we use him? This OSU team has plenty of weapons. We are three deep at running back. We have a stud quarterback. And we have Dez. There are many different options we have on offense. I think it’s just taking a little bit for everything to click.

It has nothing to do with the talent that OSU has consider the fact they have three of the best players in the nation in Des Bryant, K. Hunter, Zac Robinson and a host of others. It has everything to do with a Head Coach that I have said and will continue to say is “Not ready for Prime Time”. OSU needs to seek out and use some of that money Boone Pickens gave them and hire a coach like OU or Alabama has then and only then will OSU come up from being a “almost ran team” to a prime time contender until they do that they will stay as a “Step Child” to a winning program like OU. As it stand, they are going to have a hard season if they play like they did against Houston it could be very embarassing with all that “sports illustrated” coverage.

Jenni’s assessment is fairly accurate. Houston loaded the box and OSU rather than make the smart adjustment and take the single coverage on passes DID try to Mano y Mano…didn’t work out to well. 49ers game last Sunday was a prime example of this in the NFL. The Cardinals were determined to keep Frank Gore in check (and they did) but even a less than talented QB, Shaun Hill, made enough throws to beat the defending NFC champions at their house. Jenni, don’t listen to all the blowhard (experts), write it as you see it and good luck

OSU’s offense is built on balance, not a pass-happy spread. If the run isn’t there, then the pass won’t be either. Jenny is talking like OSU gets top 5 recruiting classes each year but the truth is there is a good amount of talent at the skilled positions but it is an 11 man game to move the football. Try playing chess without your pawns.
