I’m guessing you were watching the Oregon vs. Arizona game on Thursday night? I want to bring up a subject that you broached in your much famous article about OSU’s quarterback.

Did you get the same creepy feeling I got when Dennis Dixon (UO’s qb) father was escorted to the sideline on national tv? When did it become protocal to bring an athlete’s parent to comfort them on the bench? And then gain national tv exposure on their cell phone.

I don’t know, I thought based upon your earlier column you might have a thought on this part of the family/athlete bond.
