Reason to cheer
Oklahoma State PA man Larry Reece had some fun in the first half Saturday.
During a timeout, he offered up a few “scores of interest.” He saved the big one for last, teasing the masses in Stillwater with, “And from Boulder, Colo. … ”
As soon as he said those words, the Cowboys fans knew exactly what was coming. By the time Reece gave the score — Colorado 27, Oklahoma 24 — the fans were roaring their approval. There were high-fives, and there were fist pumps. There was joy in Payne County.
And it’s not just that OSU fans take pleasure in a little OU pain. The Cowboys will play for the outright Big 12 South lead next week at Texas A&M.

I am glad that Coach Gundy put you in your place, after al how many downs of college football have you ever played to be considered an expert? That’s what I thought
Bobbie Reid’s mom sure gave a great interview. How about a blog topic about that? You’d rather just ignore it I’m sure.
It amazes me that Cowboy fans thrive on the misfortunes of another school. I guess they figure since they beat Sam Houston State they are going to win the Big 12. Typical Aggies… They live for beating OU, look at Les “No background check needed” Miles, gets 2 wins on the year and beats OU and he is a hero. Sorry if I hold my team to higher standards than that. If we beat Texas tomorrow and then lose to Mizzou, A&M and Tech, you won’t find one Sooner that will say, “Yeah well at least we beat Texas.” I am not a OSU hater by any means, I wish them success in every game they play, except against OU, especially with two brothers having graduated from there and a sister currently attending. What amazes me is that I will recieve phone calls or emails from them if OU were to go down, but somehow the fact that they lost to TROY has been forgotten. If OSU goes 5-7 on the season and OU goes 12-2, OSU fans are exstacic that OU lost those two games and will talk more trash than Texas fans. So I say they can keep going to the Houston and Independence bowl if they get to one at all, and I will continue to travel to National Championships and BCS Bowls…. Wouldn’t an OSU fan love to know what that is like….

Jenni,
I live in China currently and I am a OU fan. I moved here from Colorado Springs and had season tickets for CU in Boulder for several years. OU overlooked CU as they have struggled some but I remember the Bill McCartney years and it has a lot of the same similarities going on there. Coach Hawkins has a solid defense and he is playing his red shirt freshman son Cody at QB and you know what Coach Hawkins did at Boise State? So a year away from establishing the offense to where it should be but next year CU not NU should be the one to be feared in the North Division. I am sad that the Sooners lost and I do think they will end up doing well this year and of course next year. But no doubt in my mind after the KState win at Texas and who knows how good Mizzou and KU are that the North division at least this year is by far the best in the Big 12, don’t you think so too?
