Oklahoma State PA man Larry Reece had some fun in the first half Saturday.
During a timeout, he offered up a few “scores of interest.” He saved the big one for last, teasing the masses in Stillwater with, “And from Boulder, Colo. … ”
As soon as he said those words, the Cowboys fans knew exactly what was coming. By the time Reece gave the score — Colorado 27, Oklahoma 24 — the fans were roaring their approval. There were high-fives, and there were fist pumps. There was joy in Payne County.
And it’s not just that OSU fans take pleasure in a little OU pain. The Cowboys will play for the outright Big 12 South lead next week at Texas A&M.

Yes, we cheered. I myself was doing a happy naked Snoopy dance all over the living room. I love it when the mighty Sooners fall. Personally I have nothing against the team. It’s their snotty fans I hate. Can anyone say OVERRATED?

Well we messed around and got beat; if we could just catch a pass! Bradford missed a few but not near as many as got drop–right in their hands and they dropped it–I only watched it on TV, it looked bad. It looked like we got ahead and decided to run the ball to run the clock. Went conservative, terrible coaching. Defense was hitting but they couldnt hang onto an interception either.
Question: Why is Kelly not getting thrown to? Soft hands, speed, size; with double coverage he can get open–throw the ball to Kelly, he can catch it!
Texas lost so we beat Texas next week then CU for the Big12 Championship–things can get back to normal!

Jenni
I make mistakes. You make mistakes. We all make mistakes. Just apologize and put it behind you. The American public has forgiven a lot bigger lapses of judgement than yours. Not that this should be your motive, but it will only make you look better by comparison. In contrast, if Coach is the first to apologize, your reputation only suffers further.

I’m sort of like Abbie. I live in Moore, just north of OWho, and, I have little against the Sooners themselves, now that the big crook, Switzer, is long gone. However, I can assure you, when I wear anything Orange and Black, I take heaps of abuse from those who don’t even know their teams colors (red and white is not the same as crimson and cream.) I could care less either way about the school, but I detest their so-called fans. So, I cheered, loud and long, as the vaunted Sooners lost to the Buffs, and my ‘Pokes won big, and used backups for the last quarter. If it had been Stoops,t he starters would have been in until the final gun, trying to run up the score. “Nough said.

I feel for O U with three sisters as alumni, I naturally rub in any losses. It is just so much better when OSU wins while the Sooners lose. I do think that they could’ve played a better game if their mental capacity would reach beyond the third quarter. Just an opinion. Maybe the coaches should go to ‘Churches’ @ half time? Just a punny joke, actually enjoyed your article. Sure got a lot of attention… isn’t that the reason to write them?

If you think that OU fans are horrible - you should try going to a game in Boulder if you’re not a CU fan. I was at the game on Saturday in Boulder and my…they are probably the worst up there! Anyone else notice that every time you watch even a few minutes of a CU game in Boulder you wind up seeing someone in the stands (usually a student) giving someone the finger?
Just awful….

Jenni there’s no need to apologize about any thing, it’s not like you called anyone nappy headed ho’s or anything like that, my god he’s a grown man even though he’s not 40, god forbid he ever go’s pro and has a bad game, and besides it is by far no worse than The Classless POKE fans that cheered when an injured player (Rhett Bomar) was hurt, My God are you kidding me, Where are we in society , Who’s the kids here? And one last thing, We all live in the SOONER State, and we all bleed Crimson & Cream.

Hope you O-State fans aren’t getting just a little to cocky a little too early. Remember, you will have to come to Norman this year and you have no defense to speak of. Didn’t tech roll up over 700 yards on you? Wasn’t that the most ever? And, the “meat” of your schedule is close at hand. Beating Bomar State is one thing, beating A&M, K-State, Nebraska and OU will be another!
In case you’ve forgotten, Bedlam is in Norman this year. I’m predicting a 5 peat for the Sooners!
October 1st, 2007 at 1:52 pm
This to abbie. Can you say NOT RATED. Oh and I love it when you address us by our title, THE MIGHTY SOONERS.
October 1st, 2007 at 1:59 pm
Nice reply “the dude.” That the best you can do? The truth hurts doesn’t it? Yea, easy to kick OU when we got embarrased at Colorado but look at your own schedule. I believe you lost to Troy and to Georgia. Besides those two teams, who have you really played? Got a couple of tough road tests coming up for you and then, like I said, bedlam will be in Norman and we’ll remember the cheering and high five after the OU-CU score was announced in the land of orange! GO SOONERS!

Note to Dave #9
Unexpected guest at the Fiesta Bowl last year? Statue of Liberty.
You will never EVER live that one down. That will go down as as the most embarrassing football moment in history.

Wow OSU beat sanford & son state or whatever they’re called, Big deal, this happens every year, you guys get a few wins and next you think your the next big XII champs, then reality sets in again in the next beating you take, it’s too bad Mike Gundy took away the spotlight from the only decent win you’ll probably have all year, So go ahead and cheer about the SOONERS losing, That was your last chance, savor it. And gear up for things getting back to normal. And at the end of the season i’m sure poke fans will be sitting back at home, cheering against the SOONERS in the BIG XII championship game again. BOOMER SOONER.
October 1st, 2007 at 3:53 pm
To ABBIE,
Can you guys even spell BCS?
October 2nd, 2007 at 4:50 pm
OSU has more class in the end of Bullet’s hoff than the entire Sooner Nation. OU cheated themselves to the top back in the renegade days of Switzer, now karma is upon you. Most of the OU fans couldn’t find Norman because of the PBR on their breath.
October 2nd, 2007 at 9:18 pm
Listen up Judge Mathis How can you say OU cheated themselves to the top? They’ve always been at the top, 47 consecutive game winning streak, ring a bell? Best in NCAA history, Before the KING. So it is true about what they say. What’s the difference between a dynasty and a wannabe? About 80 miles.
P.S.
That was pretty darn CLASSLESS cheering on a player when he’s down on the field, What a bunch of lOSUrs, and I agree with Dave, Even you Judge Mathis bleed CRIMSON.

Hey how is big red motor sports contributing to the OU athletic program this year?
October 4th, 2007 at 11:28 am
Yes Abby we may have been overrated last week, but isn’t it nice to actually be RATED? Talk when you win something real.
October 4th, 2007 at 4:03 pm
What makes Big Red sports & imports any different than your Sugar Daddy boone pickens?
