Road trip to Weleetka
Today, I will be heading out to Weleetka, Okla. Yesterday, when my mentor, Sonya Colberg, told me I was going to Weleetka today, I had to google maps it because I had no idea where it is. Apparently, it is way east of Shawnee and where the two little girls were killed when they were going home almost exactly one year ago. That town seems to have gone through so much, in March they also had a fire. I’ll be doing a follow up on that. More details to come. My mentor is coming to get me as I type.
