OKC Storm guard Allonzo Trier, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard who will be a sophomore in the fall, has received scholarship offers from Oklahoma State and Tulsa.

OKC Storm sophomore-to-be Allonzo Trier has never lacked for motivation to make himself a better basketball player, and his first two college scholarship offers aren’t going to change that.

In fact, they might push him even harder.

Trier, rated as one of the nation’s top players in the class of 2015, received offers from Oklahoma State and Tulsa on Wednesday, the first of many to come for the young player.

“The offers are great, but it’s nothing special and doesn’t mean I made it yet,” Trier said. “It just means it’s time for me to continue to get better and improve, and if I do that, more offers will come.”

Trier also is being recruited by Oklahoma and a several other programs across the country. A strong summer performance has helped Trier grab even more attention.

In addition to playing with the Athletes First AAU squad, he was rated as a top-10 player at the Nike Elite 100 camp earlier this month.

Trier, a 6-foot-2 guard, averaged 24.5 points per game and helped the OKC Storm to a runner-up finish in the National Homeschool Tournament as a freshman. He finished the year with more than 1,000 total points, setting the national homeschool record for scoring by a freshman.
