Haywood led the SaberCats in scoring at the Edmond Open over the weekend, totaling 35 points. Her 13 points in the tourney opener against Edmond North and her 12 points in Saturday&#8217;s finale against Edmond Memorial were both team-highs. She managed double figures in every game and helped the SaberCats to a 69-20 win over Tulsa Central on Friday.</p>

<p>Norman North girls basketball player Hayley Scott set the tournament single-game scoring record at the Altus Lady Bulldog Classic. The senior scored 35 points in Thursday&#8217;s first-round win over Childress (Texas). She scored 12 points in a win over Wichita Falls (Texas) and added 11 in the championship game against Western Heights. Norman North won the tournament title.</p>

<p>The Mid-Del football player of the week this week is Carl Albert quarterback J.T. Realmuto.</p></div>
<div class="mceTemp">Realmuto bounced back from a tough opener against Tulsa Washington to throw for 178 yards and a touchdown and run for 127 and two scores in the Titans win over Choctaw.</div>
<div class="mceTemp">When Realmuto is on, Carl Albert&#8217;s offense is going to be tough to stop. He gives the Titans&#8217; offense a capable thrower who can run when needed. Realmuto is a star in three sports at Carl Albert who is likely to play baseball in college.</div>

She&#8217;s started at first for the Bombers since her freshman year and has a 4.0 GPA.</div>

<p>To nominate someone for The Oklahoman&#8217;s high school player of the week, leave a comment on this blog post. Here are some early candidates:</p>
<p><strong>Auggie McCulley, RB, Hennessey: </strong>McCulley ran 19 times for 318 yards and five touchdowns in Hennessey&#8217;s 45-7 win over Chisholm.</p>
<p><strong>Jeff Smith, RB, Oklahoma Chr: </strong>Smith had 18 carries for 117 yards, and two catches for 28 yards and two total touchdowns in his team&#8217;s 40-13 win over Crescent. He also had 12 tackles and a sack.</p>
<p><strong>Kevin Coulter, RB, Douglass: </strong>Coulter had 20 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns in Douglass&#8217; 45-16 win over Woodward.</p>
<p><strong>Chris Perry, RB, Stillwater: </strong>Perry rushed 22 times for 128 yards and three touchdowns in Stillwater&#8217;s 43-23 win over Choctaw.</p>
<p><strong>Tyler Newman, QB, Elk City: </strong>Newman ran the ball 13 times for 180 yards and four touchdowns in Elk City&#8217;s 26-14 win over Weatherford.</p>
<p><strong>Mario Harden, RB, Hartshorne: </strong>Harden ran for 171 yards and three touchdowns on just four carries in Hartshorne&#8217;s 48-0 win over Spiro.</p>
<p><strong>Matt Mitchell, RB, Sallisaw: </strong>Mitchell had 29 carries for 212 yards and four touchdowns in a 37-14 win over Wagoner.</p>
<p><strong>Curtis Dick, QB, Corn Bible: </strong>Dick carried the ball 14 times for 183 yards and four touchdowns, and also was 10 of 14 for 146 yards and two touchdowns passing in a 60-32 win over Destiny Christian. On defense he had an interception and 11 tackles.</p>
<p><strong>Nathan Stanley, RB, Corn Bible: </strong>Stanley had 15 carries for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 19 tackles.</p>
<p><strong>Wayland Moore, QB, McLoud: </strong>Moore completed eight of 13 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns in a 61-32 win over Cleveland.</p>
<p><strong>Jeremy Seaton, QB, Cashion: </strong>Seaton had 20 carries for 116 yards and five touchdowns in his team&#8217;s 50-32 win over Wellston. He also had 128 yards and a touchdown passing.</p>

<p><strong>Here are some early candidates:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Steven Sumpter, RB, Edmond Santa Fe:</strong> Sumpter rushed for four touchdowns and caught a touchdown in Santa Fe&#8217;s 72-12 win over Southmoore.</li>
<li><strong>Dax Dilbeck, QB, Deer Creek:</strong> The senior carried the ball 26 times for 272 yards and a touchdown in Deer Creek&#8217;s 21-14 win over Duncan. Through six weeks, Dilbeck has rushed for 958 yards and 13 touchdowns.</li>
<li><strong>Darwin Rideau, RB, Star Spencer: </strong>Rideau had 10 carries for 232 yards and four touchdown in his team&#8217;s 39-7 win over Star Spencer.</li>
<li><strong>Arthur Mahoney, RB, Destiny Christian: </strong>Mahoney carried the ball just five times for 246 yards and three touchdowns. So for in Mahoney&#8217;s historic season, he has rushed for 1,812 yards.</li>
<li><strong>Clint Chelf, QB, Enid: </strong>Chelf completed 15-of-25 passes for 363 yards and four touchdowns in his team&#8217;s 52-24 win over Choctaw.</li>
<li><strong>Jordan Lukens, WR, Lindsay: </strong>Lukens caught 6 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown in Lindsay&#8217;s 57-19 win over Bridge Creek.</li>
<li><strong>Augie McCulley, RB/DB, Hennessey: </strong>McCulley ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Hennessey&#8217;s 14-7 win over Texhoma. The yards made him the school&#8217;s all-time leading rusher. He also had 12 tackles in the game.</li>
<li><strong>Cody Phipps, RB, McLoud:</strong> Phipps carried the ball 21 times for 110 yards, and added a 20-yard reception for a touchdown. He also recorded seven tackles and an interception in McLoud&#8217;s 34-0 win over Tecumseh.</li>
<li><strong>Riley Gibson, RB, Newcastle: </strong>Gibson had 17 carries for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the Racers&#8217; 40-7 win over Santa Fe South.</li>
<li><strong>Cory Dauphin, RB, El Reno:</strong> Dauphin had 19 carries for 135 yards and one touchdown in El Reno&#8217;s 31-14 upset over Class 5A&#8217;s second-ranked Lawton MacArthur.</li>
