Trey Knowles and Trey’Vonne Barr’e were great this past week, but I voted for Blake Barnes. I think all three are equally great performers though. BUT OCS SAINTS ARE LOOKING FOR A STATE TITLE, and Blake Barnes just might lead us there! God Bless. Congrats to Blake and the rest of the candidates.

Tucker Rolf deserves this award as always gives 110 percent and not only had a good game Saturday both on offense and defense, but he and his teammates worked hard all season to bring home the Class C gold ball. He also worked hard all summer to be in shape and ready for this 2012 football season!

Tony, you’re missing the point. It’s a fan poll. It has subjectivity written right into the headline. To expect fans to be objective is essentially oxymoronic. The one who “deserves” to win a fan poll is the one who gets the most fan support.

Kala, if you read closely, you’ll notice that the poll is for the “Performance of the Week.” As I told the previous commenter, winning the poll is all about community support. The majority of people who are voting in the poll are doing so because someone from their town or their favorite team is in it. If those people are voting for the Davis and Blanchard defenses, they would vote for the Davis and Blanchard quarterbacks just the same.

Can someone please explain how an entire defense is up for the running for “PLAYER of the week”? It makes no sense to nominate an entire defensive team along with individual players. There is no victory in that win.

These polls are really a joke. Not necessarily the most deserving wins. It appears Blanchard or Davis’ defense are going to win this poll. No disrespect to Blanchard but look what they did…. then look what Davis did. “Shutting out” Vian’s number one offense in the state, in any Class, that averaged 60+ points per game, with 6 interceptions is very impressive. Nobody even gave Davis a chance. Like I said, Blanchard is probably deserving, but not quite Davis’ accomplishment.

Tucker Rolf has more heart, and determination then anyone I know. Tuck is so humble for just how talented he really is. He is a great roll model. We are so proud of him, in the way he has represented Laverne, his, coaches, and his teammates. He lead his team to an undefeated season and the class B GOLD BALL!! It was Vian and Frederick this all week in the newspapers talking about one of them setting the highest scoring record. They said Vian averaged 60+ points a game and one of their players averaged 16 yards a carry. Well I guess Davis showed them that they can put up some points also. Apparently Vian had a awful soft schedule to be able to score that many points, but could not score a single point on Davis and every time they got close they were intercepted. Davis showed they have the top defense in the state.
Go Wolves beat OCS for the State Championship.
