We’ve selected small-school athletes for our stories as well. We’ve been selecting a player of the week for years. The fan vote was an addition that was added last year. Preston has had a great season and hopefully we’ll be able to write about him again soon.

It’s ashame that the Fan Pole winner doesnt recieve as much recognition that the newsok pick does!!! You missed out on interviewing a great football player and a really good kid this week. Again it goes to show the poor coverage of our small school athletes!!!

i dont deserve it this week but there have been weeks that ive put up 400total yards , 350 rushing and 4 TDs(vs Tulsa Memorial) or the week against mcalister when i had 3TDs and 308 rushing yards..
and those weeks i wasnt even a nomineee

I have never heard of Crescent before, all I know is Danny and the Irish took out #1 Guthrie, shut them out, and ended their win streak. Crescent football is child’s play compared to McGuinness. I’m glad all of Crescent was able to find computer access to vote though…

I don’t know much about the kid but we go to school together and from what I’ve seen, he is a good person. I’ve helped film the Crescent games and he puts a lot of effort into everything he does. As does the rest of the team. I hope he gets Football Player of the Week!

Preston is not only an excellent football player, and young man, he is a very hard worker. This last Saturday at Kelly’s Cafe, I had the opportunity to see him work. The CHS Cheerleaders hosted a fundraiser and well Preston was a dishwasher, and a waiter. I couldn’t get him to join us in the kitchen. Lol, maybe next time.

Preston is a very deserving athlete. In this game he also had 8 tackles and an interception. This is the third time this year he has thrown at least 5 TD passes in a game. Preston is an exciting athlete on both sides of the ball on a team with many talented athletes.

Preston Walker is an all around excellent person. He carries him self on and off the field as an exemplinary person for our team and students at Crescent. He gives 100% to his team on and off the field. Preston Walker is an amazing person.
