OCS is a great school. Don’t let a couple of immature Christians spoil your view of the whole bunch. Frankfurt had a great game, but so did everyone else on this list. This is just a simple way to reward one of them for their great play. Good job to the rest of the players on those teams, and the rest of the ones on OCS team. Austin Brooks and Garrett Kilborn are quite the connection too. Go Saints!

Cjjjm, the final results have been showing on the blog since 4 p.m. yesterday. Warren Wand with 431 votes.

BringitON, that’s a great theory, but you clearly haven’t been paying attention to the previous five POW polls. Last week, McGuinness, Millwood and Dibble players were 1-2-3 with Edmond Santa Fe and Del City 4th and 5th. The week before, Bridge Creek and Destiny Christian players were 1-2 with all 5A-6A schools behind them. We’ve had winners from Tecumseh and Wayne as well. There have only been two 6A players win, and there’s been at least one in each poll. So, yes, it’s about who can rally the most people to vote for them, but enrollment has nothing to do with it. Any credibility, or lack of it, lies with the fans who vote in the poll.

After reading the comments above, I have to say what a dissappointment it is to see such derogatory comments being made by people affilitated with a Christian school and such behavior in a manner that is not pleasing to the LORD!!! We are to be lights shining in a world of darkness! My son graduated from OCS and at that time the young people and families affiliated with OCS were wonderful people!!! This may be about player of the week but player of the week should be about the TOTAL package – Athlete, Character, Morals, etc..!!! Jacob Blair is my nephew and obviously you don’t know him! I’m extremely proud of you Jacob!!!

Being a Moore High School football fan I cannot excpress the joy I had watching Collin Web make his 40 yard pass for a touchdown!!!!!! I am so over the moon and have such great pride in the Moore Lions Football team. Lets go Lions!!!!

I haven’t watched enough games to pick the player of the week but Jacob Blair is a gentlemen. He is wise beyond his years and he puts a smile on my 8 yr. old grandsons face every Sunday at Church. In my eyes that is better than player of the week.

Joe, are you a just a hater or is your son not good enough to play? Hats off to all these young men who put in the time and effort to play sports. Maybe your tubby kid should try a little harder and he might get to play special teams but stop hating on all these kids. I’ve played on teams that would have loved to of been 3-3. It wasn’t from lack of effort.

If memory serves me correctly the private schools can recruit……I mean accept students from a 50 mile radius. I’m not aware of a public school district that is this large. Before you start throwing teams “under the bus” as “below average” try kicking that brain of yours in gear. It’s not always apples to apples.

Joe, Dibble is not a below average team! Our Football Team is Awesome!! This is our first year in class 2A. We are a very small rural school that only has a total of 24 kids on our team, while the bigger schools like CHA have 40+ kids.

I think Cal Baker, El Reno QB and Safety should be nominated. In his first game back from a broken hand injury and still wearing a cast, Cal led El Reno to victory over NWC. He threw 2 touch down passes, went 11 for 12 passing and made two interceptions on defense.(both in the red zone)
