Stephen thought about this long before Coach Long decided to leave as the Great Child he is, he was thinking of his family and how we would feel but Terry’s decision was confirmation to him that this was the Best choice for him. As a mother it’s only natural to feel upset but I’ve prayed on it and whatever GOD’S WILL is I will support it 100%. So let it be done!!!

I have not followed High School Basketball much until this last year watching the Haworth Lions fight their way to the Championship Game. However, When I saw Douglas play at the Big House on Saturday,I texted to all my friends that Clark was the best High school basketball player I had ever seen. He was amazing. 35 foot jumpers, Defense, speed, passing, and very smart on the court. If anyone is ready to play early in college it is Stephen Clark!

True it’s a big jump however,if you know him it will not be transition,he has faced adversity all his life..Stephen is a smart strong minded kid,Good Luck Stephen,I’m sure you will make the right decision..

I don’t know much about this young man off the court. The transition from junior year in high school to a major university can be quite challenging. He may very well be up to it but a big decision for sure!

@Kyle You think it’s stupid? Why… because a kid who’s nearly a 4.0 student and has enough credits to graduate early is considering making a good decision. Is it because he has nothing else to prove, doesn’t care to continue to be at a school that’s more like a prison, and really could care less about a prom that makes this stupid? The coaching change is what “mom” is using to justify the decision with her peers but the kid himself is confident enough in who he is to do whatever he wants and not care about perception… If he cared about “playing for a different coach”, he wouldn’t be rushing off to college (to play for “a different coach”)! Smart move to leave, redshirt, get bigger & stronger and get ahead!

Kids do it in football all the time and nobody says a word..

@Jimbo – I agree that Manning is a legend, but its gonna be hard to talk a kid, who has only lost 4 or 5 games in his HS Career, into going to TU.
