Not sure what your point is overall or what it has to do with Onuoha. He’ll decide between OU and Missouri and, chances are, if he goes to OU, at least during his time there, he’ll be written about more in The Oklahoman than if he goes to Missouri. That’s because we cover OU regularly and obviously don’t cover Missouri. It was the same thing with Gerald Jones, one of those Millwood kids (although again, not sure what you’re talking about on them writing articles on themselves). I certainly wouldn’t say Jones “disappeared into a black hole” though. He had a successful career at Tennessee and had a shot with the Eagles in training camp this year.

As for Barry J. Sanders (I assume that’s who you’re talking about when you refer to “BSjr”), he made his pick like a lot of recruits do. It wasn’t anything extra flashy and I can’t remember Sanders ever doing anything that was “all about me.”

Also, I’d say calling Stanford his “own kind” would be a pretty good compliment for most any player or student in general.

What happened to the slobbering love affair the DOK has with their prima-dona all everything, BSjr. Reminds me of these Millwood kids that wrote articles about themselves, signed with out of state schools, then disappeared into a black hole. Maybe Stanford will hold a special press conference to honor BSjr so he can perform his, “It’s all about ME” hat trick.
