Thank goodness for internet message board posters. If it wasn't for them OSSAA would never be able to find out who the "cheaters" are.
Or where the CAPS LOCK button is.
MWC has a long and great tradition without a doubt and turns out great men AND Div1 athletes. The continued whining by their fans about east side cheating this and no one respects us in OKC paper that gets old.

Redskin96,
I do the rankings and have Midwest City ahead of Broken Arrow, barely, right now. True, Midwest City's competition, especially in district play, hasn't been up to what Broken Arrow has played. But the Tigers have shown some inconsistency on the road, struggling before finally pulling off wins over Norman and Muskogee. I thought they were the No. 1 team in the state when I watched them destroy Southmoore but made the switch after watching Midwest City the next week while BA struggled with a Norman team that has struggled at times defensively.

The schedule strength is certainly a concern for Midwest City, especially when it'll be ramped up quickly in the playoffs against, barring something crazy for the Bombers vs. Norman North this week, a Westmoore team that upset them a week ago. Then if they can get past that, they'll face an even tougher team in the second round.

Bombermagic,
I understand your last comment as it relates to Jenks (but slowly but rapidly? Isn't that an oxymoron?) but unless I'm forgetting something, Union hasn't been caught doing anything improper. If I'm forgetting something, by all means let me know.

It's inevitable that the Jenks-Union stranglehold will come to an end and it might be this year. But I still look for those teams to make deep runs in the playoffs and possibly extend the streak yet again.

Jenks and union have played weak schedules for years... Not our fault other teams can't hang. Just try not to get beat 44-0 at halftime and refuse to finish the game...

I don't think it's a big coincidence that the ossaa exposed the big 2 as cheaters and they both have slowly but rapidly have started to decline the past couple of years...

I dont know Jason about MWC being number1 right now as they should be. The Bombers have faced teams with a combined record of 17-42! Their signature win is against Edmond Santa Fe? Broken Arrow has wins against Jenks, Owasso, and a previously ranked Southmoore and Norman teams in which those were both on the road. Throw in a 850 mile busride to Odessa Permian in which BA levled them 64-25 and you can see why MWC really should be number 2 to BA. Then again the Bombers will do what they have done the past few years flame out in the first round or get knocked out in the semis by Jenks or Union or maybe this year BA? lol

mwcfan: Most certainly not. Midwest City was clearly the better team that night. I was just saying that Santa Fe had a lot of missed opportunities. But those mistakes aren't just a result of their mental errors; Midwest City obviously created those turnovers. The Bombers are No. 1 in 6A right now as they should be.
