Any chance? Sure. Their defense is as good as any in the state I think and the offense has the potential. But right now I’d go with Union No. 1, Jenks 2 and MWC 3. Broken Arrow is also very good.

I said this on another post, Bombermagic, but I’ve been very impressed by Davis. The offense needs to continue to improve but if they can do that, they’ve got a chance deep in the playoffs.

Physically, and talent wise…absolutely they are. Their problem is mentally. Stupid mistakes, allowing the west side teams to intimidate them, and injuries will be the only things that will keep the Bombers from winning the gold ball this year. They have lots of college caliber talent even quite a few D1 prospects, so talent isn’t the issue. If they keep that same mental toughness with the Jenks and Unions of world that they display with the east side teams, it will happen!

So do you think mwc has any chance on taking down jenks or union this year? At this point they are the only ones that have a chance to beat them…. BA also has a chance

I understand being happy with a scrimmage win but it was a scrimmage and it was without Alex Ross for all but, I believe, one play. Edmond Santa Fe is a much better team this year than they were a year ago, but they’ve got some improving to do before they’re in the top class of 6A. I’ve picked Santa Fe before this year. I’ll pick them again. I almost picked them last week. I was wrong. It happens occasionally.

ha i was a little runk ok buddy and even then i was joking about u paying refs. i jus dont see how u can pik against them after they beat jenks in the jenks preview, has anyone ever beat jenks in that?

Westmoore was No. 8 last week. I went back and forth between the two but finally put Stillwater in the spot. Edmond Santa Fe has a chance to move back into the rankings this week going on the road against Lawton. I’ll be at that game and we’ll see after Friday night. And I was the only one to pick Westmoore to win. At least you aren’t running your mouth about paying off the refs this time.

soo how isnt edmond santa fe ranked after they beat westmoore, a team that was ranked i believe #7 last week and most of ur guys picked wm to win. and santa fe has only lost too mwc. and stillwater barely beat sand springs for crap sake!!

Good question. Seiling has a big game this week with Cherokee. That’s going to tell me a lot about this team. The teams ahead of them have lost to Caddo (Kiefer, Dewar), Davenport (Fox, Dewar) and Laverne (Cherokee). My ranking philosophy is a bit different in that I don’t necessarily drop teams if they lose. Never made sense to me that a No. 1 team beats a No. 4 team and the No. 4 team drops. Shouldn’t that be expected when No. 1 meets No. 4?

Seiling would move up at least one spot with a win, maybe more. Gans had its statement win last week and Seiling gets a chance at one this week although the Laverne game Oct. 20 also looms large.

I’d put them right outside the top 10 at this point, probably the top team not ranked. A win over Fox this week, though, and the Pugs will be in the top 10 next week for sure. It’s been an impressive start for Paoli.
