I moved from a small 1A school to Norman High my sophomore year. I was an excellent player for 1A but playing at the 6A level is as if it's a whole new ball game. No one could have prepared me for the next level like Coach Mossman did. She is an excellent coach as well as person. Definitely knows the game of basketball. She would practically lived in her basketball office, preparing scouting reports, making practice schedules, watching film, and just to be in there so i could finish shooting. That's good coaching without a doubt. Nothing she has was handed to her, let alone on a silver platter, she worked for every bit of it. Mossman owed it to herself to get out of high school coaching, and back to the college level, where her hard work and enthusiasm for the game can be appreciated. I truly believe that Mossman will turn Tulsa's program around, her excellence is extremely contagious. She will be missed by the Lady Tigers, but never forgotten.

One thing about this game that hasn't changed is the importance of recruiting. Different techniques and methods may have but not the ctitical need in recruiting to sustain a program. Thankfully Mossman kept in practice utilizing her recruiting skills while at Norman High. If you don't believe me just check the record. Look at where her star or key players went to middle school or if they transferred into their school system somewhere along the way. Most if not all did not come from a Norman High School feeder school. Reporters never report on this but it is fact. Mossman is a quality coach but as the King always essentially said, good players make a coach look good. Mossman never had to develop her good players. They were always handed to her on a silver platter.
