Oh my god Lippard. Shut the heck up about recruitment. Everyone was b&%$# #@ and complaining about McGuinness and I don’t hear anyone now that they are back to average. And you know what, they didn’t stop their recruiting efforts…cuz they never were recruiting. The politically correct “complaint” or “charge” against private schools is that they control enrollment to compete in the lower classes. But that has gone silent for now as well. Any of these arguments are from impatient, ignorant local community fans that hate to see themselves get beat all the time. Don’t worry, a couple of good players will accidently move into your community and guess what…no one will be complaining about the miraculous turnaround that will take about 4 years to happen as it does with all programs. Look at Douglass…nothing more than a small speed bump in class 4A for the previous 4 years and then all of a sudden they are runner-ups last year followed by State camps this year. Maybe we should investigate them per this dying logic you reference. After all, wasn’t their rapid turn around related to recruitment or controlling enrollment??? Na, just evolution of the game, players, and coaching staff.

Once again the OSSSA allows a school that openly recruits to compete against public schools which are not allowed to do likewise. Put the non-public schools in one category and public schools in another and keep them separate. Other states do so and it levels the playing fields.
