It's the Muskogee game that sticks out like a sore thumb. The Roughers have given up 62 (Jenks), 70 (BA) and 70 (Norman) to the other three playoff teams in the district. And the closest margin of victory was the 62-14 game vs. Jenks.

The SaberCats didn't have Kendal Thompson and some starters in the defensive backfield and lost 41-40 on a missed FG in the final seconds.

Yes, I think Thompson would have made a difference in that game. Thompson and RB Andrew Long would have been deadly running the option, but it wasn't meant to be this year.

I take your inference to be that with Thompson they would be so much better. Again, one player does not make or break a team. 'Half a foot' does not keep the rest of the players from playing well. I remember Sam Bradford and PCN coming down to Lawton and getting beaten handily his senior year. He sure couldn't carry his team by himself and he's a Heisman trophy winner. It's got to be a whole team effort. To say otherwise is diminishing the efforts of Muskogee, Norman, Jenks, and Broken Arrow.
