Just my thoughts on calling someone the "best" in the state. You should always add "ONE of the" to the word "best". Obviously there are really good players all over the state. Since you are covering the Norman - Jenks game, see if there any good defensive players there.

Someone might actually want to watch Sherwood play before he is proclaimed the best Defensive player in the state. I happened to be at the game and Sherwood didn't even lead his own team in tackles. He is not on the field except for playing defense. In a 5-3 the middle linebacker is supposed to make the majority of tackles. He didn't even get to double digits. In fact most of the game he was too busy getting up off of his butt. There happened to be another player on the other team that made 22 tackles. Beats and Sherwood went head to head several times. Grab a little film and see who won the head to head encounters. He has NO lateral speed. Cascia is a good team. Sherwood is NOT the reason. Just a voice from the stands.
