Has a real knack of knowing where the ball is and understands the flow of the game. His high IQ of the game will contiue to grow; he’ll be the real leader of this team for the next two years. But any first team private school list that doesn’t include Matt Christiansen is FRAUDULENT. The kid makes everything easier for the other players. On defense, his presence makes it easier for his team because guys would rather shoot from the outside than drive to the basket and risk getting their shot rejected to half court. When they are on offense, most teams defend Christiansen by putting a guy in front of him and a guy behind him (making it easier for Whitney, Edmonds and Caruthers to operate). He may not be the best offensive player on their team, but he was surely the best defender, rebounder and shot blocker on their team (and Defense was the team’s strong point, not offense). Edmonds is a good player and so are Whitney, but neither of them are as good as Christiansen.
