PLAYER of the week: Norman Zone

The Tigers’ leader all season, junior Kamra King took it up another notch in the state tournament. On the strength of her career-high 33 points in the Class 6A semifinals against Edmond North, King and Norman played for the 6A championship Saturday.

That’s where the good news ended for Norman as the Tigers fell four the first time this season to Midwest City in the final and King left early due to an injured knee.

She’s a decent player in a down year for 6A girls basketball but telling it like it is…she’s no Courtney Walker. Sorry. Good luck with the rehab.
