The OSSAA’s committee to determine what if any changes should be made in the way non-public schools are regarded by the organization is close to making a proposal to the OSSAA’s Board of Directors, committee spokesman Kent Shellenberger, Bethany superintendent, told the board Wednesday.
“We realize we’re coming to the end of our work,” Shellenberger said.
The committee met Thursday and will meet again Tuesday to formulate a proposal that is expected to be presented to the board at its March 17 meeting.
The committee has met several times since it was formed last summer after a proposal made by a group of public schools was voted down by the board.
A change would require a vote of the membership.
