OSSAA Board agenda set

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association’s Board of Directors will meet Wednesday morning. Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights of the agenda:
-Report on the 2009 football playoffs financial report
-Report from Kent Shellenberger (Bethany superintendent) regarding the Feb. 4 meeting of the Public/Non-Public committee
-Discuss to approve, disapprove of amend four legislative amendments to be sent out to a vote of the membership.
-Presentation from a Reebok official regarding the company’s new football
-Discussion of the terms on the contract with Reebok (no action)
-Discuss and vote to approve or disapprove Guymon High seeking permission to participate in a varsity basketball tournament in New Mexico on a non-tournament week from Dec. 2-4, 2010.
-Discussion by Altus High and Harrah High regarding the 5A Dual State wrestling bracket. Vote to approve, disapprove or amend the bracket.
-There are 20 scheduled appeals of hardship rulings
-Report regarding TRO against the OSSAA and Stilwell High by the parents of a Stilwell wrestler.
-Report regarding an assault by a Binger-Oney boys basketball player during a post-game handshake ceremony
-Report regarding the forfeiture of games by Putnam West’s boys basketball team.
