Southmoore: Kendal Thompson video…

It was a crazy scene Friday night following Southmoore’s win against Mustang to clinch the District 6A-1 title.

I saw the kids start to get ready to give coach Chris Jensen a Gatorade bath, but as I slowly tried to follow the action, I nearly got trampled by other SaberCat players.

Same way after the game in trying to talk to Austin Haywood and Andrew Long. I was being bounced around like nobody’s business as fans were rushing the field.

But finally during the ’senior song’ portion of the night, I caught up with junior quarterback Kendal Thompson to talk about the win and how big a victory it is for the second-year school.

Southmoore hosts Lawton Eisenhower on Friday in a first-round matchup.
