McGuinness: Second with win. Second with loss and Douglass win where Douglass gains 20 or less district points on McGuinness. Third with loss and Douglass win where Douglass gains 21 or more district points on McGuinness. Third with loss and Piedmont win.

McGuinness, much like Heritage Hall, can make its life easier by simply winning. If your first line reads “second with win” and there are no qualifying statements to that, you know what you have to do.
Elk City has really turned it up since district play has started. I know a lot of people, myself included, thought it would be a long season after Western Heights beat ‘em in the first week.
EC has a lot to play for and had it beaten Weatherford last week (a tough task for anybody this year), EC would be playing for a district title Friday.
As is, the Irish know what they need to do. And with Douglass playing Thursday, Kenny Young’s boys will really know what they need to do.
If this team wasn’t so well-coached, that might be a little scary to be able to know exactly what you must do. You start overthinking it instead of just playing your game.
I don’t see that happening with McGuinness, though.
