Here is some info on a great cause as the second annual Heather Harkness Memorial Volleyball Tournament will take place at Santa Fe on Saturday.
Harkness, a student and volleyball player for the Wolves, died last year.
The Edmond Santa Fe High School DECA Chapter, in partnership with the Edmond Santa Fe girls volleyball team, are proud to present the 2nd Annual Heather Harkness Memorial Volleyball Tournament.
The tournament is Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Santa Fe High School Gymnasiums. We have created this event as a means to celebrate and honor Heather’s life.
Heather served as Santa Fe DECA Historian as well as starting varsity volleyball player.
The Heather Harkness Memorial Volleyball Tournament proceeds will be used to create a permanent school memorial, establish a perpetual Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Heather’s name and assist in defraying costs associated with events in honor of Heather.
Last year more than 700 people were in attendance and this year promises to be an even bigger event. More info can be found on the Heather Harkness Memorial Volleyball Tournament fan page, by emailing forheather12@yahoo.com, or by following @HHvolleyball on Twitter.

I won’t be able to make it out there in person, but if anyone wants to send me some photos from the event, don’t hesitate.
