While Kendal and Austin get all the attention that Symonds kid has really made a HUGE difference at Southmoore bringing a versatile WR to the offense and a lockdown corner on defense. The last 3-4 games defenses have doubled team him with safety over the top and it has opened up Haywood quite a bit as Southmoore has so many weapons. Kendal is SO cool behind center they never get rattled (they were down to memorial, midwest city and del city on the road and they came back to win). So yes watch Symonds a great athlete. But to me the key to the game that you need to watch is which defense steps up--both offenses equal each other out but whichever defense makes some stops or forces turnovers will win this game. Offense wins games and both teams have won a bunch of games but defense wins championships and the better defense on Friday night wins the district championship.
