Midwest City playoff possibilities
It’s easy to figure out here as Midwest City has already clinched the top seed out of District 6A-2 entering their regular-season finale against Putnam City West. The Bombers will take on the No. 4 seed in District 6A-1 at home to open the playoffs. It’ll be far from an easy task, though, as the candidates are Del City (which beat the Bombers to open the season), Lawton (win over Mustang) and Putnam North (win over Southmoore). With the way the Bombers are playing now, they figure to be favored to win over any of those teams, but it’s been awhile since Midwest City has faced a serious challenge. The Bombers have score 42 or more points in each of their last five games and allowed no more than 14 points in district play.
Since Midwest City’s playoff position is sewed up, here’s a look at the possibilities in 6A-1, which will set the Bombers first-round matchup.

Southmoore: First with win. Second with loss.
Mustang: First win win. Second with loss and Norman North win. Second with loss and Del City win. Third with loss, Putnam North win and Lawton win.
Del City: Third with win and Mustang win. Third with win, Mustang win and Norman North win. Third with win, Southmoore win and Lawton win where Del City doesn’t lose district points to Lawton. Third with loss of 12 or less points and Norman North win where Lawton doesn’t gain district points on Del City. Fourth with loss and Norman North loss where Del City loses by 12 or less points or Lawton doesn’t gain district points on Del City. Fourth with win, Southmoore win and Lawton win where Del City loses district points to Lawton.
Lawton: Second with win, Southmoore win and Putnam North win. Third with win, Mustang win and Putnam North win. Third with win, Del City win and Southmoore win where Lawton gains district points on Del City. Third with loss and Putnam North win where Lawton gains district points on Del City and doesn’t lose 26 or more district points to Putnam North. Fourth with loss and Putnam North win where Lawton gains district points on Del City or doesn’t lose 26 or more district points to Putnam North. Fourth with win, Del City win and Southmoore win where Lawton doesn’t gain district points on Del City. Fourth with Mustang win and Del City win. Fourth with loss, Southmoore win and Del City win.
