Why do people get upset if their team is not rated just where they think they should be now? There are “playoffs” coming up shortly and that is all that matters. Playoffs!

Completely disagree with putting Davis behind Lincoln Christian in Class 2A. Davis and their wishbone formation is indicative of a team that is truly a gentleman’s team with heart. They practice and play on a sub-standard field, yet always deliver.

Ryan, I don’t get your logic. You said all year that since Southmoore and Midwest City had identical records you couldn’t put Del City ahead of Southmoore. You turn around and put Midwest City ahead of Del City and they have identical records. What’s up with that?

Well, let’s see. Lawton’s defense did dominate Mustang, but it was earlier and they have been inconsistent since. Lawton lost handily to Del City and Southmoore. Del City was defeated by Mustang last night. A lot of it is what have you done for me lately. Mustang is the better team lately.

I want to know why Lawton isn’t ranked over Mustang. After all Lawton dominated Mustang and they both have the same records.

So Chase, let me get this straight, you think they should be ranked top four? They’re playing really well right now and, like Mike said, win next week and they move up. The last two weeks have been really impressive wins but I feel pretty comfortable with where I’ve got them now. After next week, I’ll reevaluate them again. I think there’s a chance Mustang could be one of the top four teams in the state but based on resume to this point, Mustang is No. 7.

And while I appreciate a good persecution complex, to say Mustang has proven me wrong every week is laughable. After last night, I’m 7-2 picking Mustang games this season. I picked against them in games they won over Norman North and Del City. Every other game involving the Broncos I’ve picked the correct winner.

Incredibly thrilling high school game! Lawton up 20-7 end of 1st. PC North leads at half 30-20. Lawton scores with 32 seconds left and the Panthers take the squib kick to their 45. Several plays get them just short of FG range as time runs out. Outstanding play from both teams. Well matched and exciting to watch.

Ryan, if Mustang somehow wins the state championship, will you at least rank them in the top 4? Mustang has proven you wrong every week and yet they only move up 3 spots from not being ranked at all.

Thanks Mike, we got a bad score last night, obviously. I’ve updated the rankings to move Lawton up a spot from 10th to No. 9. I guess that was a heck of a finish last night in Lawton.
