Mid-Del FB Player of the Week: Lamares Shields, Del City
Football
The Mid-City football player of the week is Del City defensive lineman Lamares Shields. Shields was the leader of a Del City defensive unit that sacked Lawton quarterback Cody Miller nine times in a 30-7 Del City win over the previously unbeaten Wolverines. And the Eagles did it without much in the way of blitzing and stunting. The front four, led by Shields, accounted for six of those sacks.
