Game Capsule: Norman at Moore

Norman (0-2) vs. Moore (0-2)

When: 7:30 p.m. tonight

Where: Moore Stadium

Norman

Why the Tigers can win: Norman has a strong defense led by linebackers Greg Offenburger and Michael Barrett. Moore’s offense has struggled mightily, so this is Norman’s strength against Moore’s weakness. That bodes well for the Tigers.

Moore

Why the Lions can win: The Lions will be facing a team that has had as much offensive woes as they have. It will be up to Moore’s offense to put some points on the board, because the defense should do its job.

Key matchup: Norman quarterback Greg Anderson vs. Moore defensive end Larry Rhodes.

Anderson has yet to be given time to throw the ball. If he does, he can be effective. Rhodes plans on keeping the pressure on.

The pick: Norman 21, Moore 16. The Tigers won big last year and definitely see this as a big opportunity to get in the win column. However, Moore is likely thinking the same thing about Norman.
